Following up with the announcement the other day of Killing Floor 2, Tripwire Interactive has released a teaser trailer today which you can see after the break. Hope the song they used for the teaser will be in game, it’s sweet. Still no word on a release date or when it will be available on Steam Early Access.
PC Gamer today posted an exclusive article about Killing Floor 2! Apparently it’s been in development for at least 2 years. And the good news is that they are not fixing what isn’t broken. It’s still co-op and still works like the first Killing Floor. Kill Zeds, get money, upgrade weapons. Repeat.
I can’t even describe how excited I am about this. No word on when it will be released but it is coming to Steam Early Access and will work natively with SteamOS.
Two other interesting points. Killing Floor has sold nearly 2.5 million copies as of 2014 and in the July print edition of PC Gamer you can get a unique Steam code for a character skin in Killing Floor 2.

Today Valve announced they’ve unleashed 50 titles onto the masses of Steam users. Two of those titles caught my chocolate in my peanut butter.
The first is zombie defense game Yet Another Zombie Defense. A single player top down action shooter. Not sure how good the gameplay will be but I love the music. They claim it’s ready for release so it probably won’t be long before it’s available in the Steam store.
Joystiq has put together a list of GFWL games that may or may not be updated to remove that awful Microsoft service. If you are not aware, GFWL will be shutdown on July 1, 2014. Microsoft has revealed nothing else. So what does this mean? Most developers believe it means their games will no longer function as of that date (both singleplayer and multiplayer).
Based on Joystiq’s list there are only a handful of games that have either switched to Steamworks or plan to switch. Continue reading
According to this Steam forum thread Steam’s stats page accidentally showed what games devs were playing. This obviously revealed a lot of games in development.
You can see the list of games here on this Steam Subreddit. One of the games in the list is Killing Floor 2. What makes this list somewhat credible is several known games that are coming soon were on the list like Dead Island: Epidemic, which is an announced Zombie Moba like game from the makers of Dead Island/Dead Island Riptide. Other games listed that have been announced are Daylight and South Park: The Stick of Truth.
Tripwire has not announced a Killing Floor 2 and whatever this is could be real or could just be something they’re toying around with. Either way they are probably at the very least kicking the tires on a Killing Floor 2 which should make some fans happy.

If you’re a fan of both Killing Floor and Dota 2, then here is some news you might be interested in. Killing Floor (Tripwire’s zombie FPS game) is known for it’s funny British voices for the characters in the game. Dota 2 allows for “announcer packs” to be used in Dota 2 to replace default voices in the game. Fans have been asking Tripwire for months to release an announcers pack for Dota 2 based on Killing Floor. Continue reading
